Product Description


The 16488HB multi-degree-of-freedom MEMS inertial measurement unit IMU sensor is a complete 10-axis inertial navigation system INS integrating a triaxial MEMS gyroscope angular rate sensor, a triaxial digital accelerometer, a triaxial magnetometer electronic compass, and a high-precision barometric pressure sensor altimeter. Engineered as a pin-compatible ADIS16488 drop-in replacement IMU inertial sensor module, this inertial measurement unit delivers precision measurement of angular velocity, linear acceleration, magnetic field strength heading, and altitude barometric pressure with high accuracy, low drift, and low noise performance suitable for industrial-grade inertial sensing motion tracking.


The 16488HB IMU outputs fully temperature-compensated and calibrated inertial data after comprehensive error compensation including temperature calibration, installation misalignment angle compensation, nonlinear compensation, and cross-axis sensitivity correction through SPI digital serial interface, UART serial communication port, and CAN bus fieldbus interface. With 0.8deg/h gyro Allan variance bias instability, 0.15deg/sqrt-h angular random walk ARW, +-2000deg/s gyro dynamic measurement range, and +-200g accelerometer measurement range, the 16488HB inertial sensor provides industrial-grade precision for demanding motion sensing, attitude heading reference system AHRS, and inertial navigation applications.


Designed and manufactured by Firepower, the 16488HB achieves 20000 hours MTBF mean time between failures with full operational accuracy across the entire -40degC to +80degC operating temperature range thanks to a built-in high-performance temperature calibration and compensation algorithm. The ruggedized IMU sensor is qualified for harsh environment deployment, withstanding 6.06G random vibration (20~2000Hz) and 1000G high-G shock impact (0.5ms half-sine pulse). CE certified, made in China, with competitive pricing and fast sample delivery.
